Agriculture :
Change in farmland value, 2002-2007
The value of farmland was up dramatically between 2002 and 2007, on average 69.8% for Minnesota. The change in the value of farm land varies greatly across the state, but every county was up at least 10% except for Anoka, Hennepin and Ramsey. Increased returns from farming was a factor in some counties, while competing uses such as residential development and recreational purposes explain the increases in others. Hubbard County saw the largest increase, at 166.9% in just five years.
