Economic vitality :
Change in number of self-employed businesses, 2003-2006

Between 2003 and 2006, the number of self-employed establishments increased 8.1%. About a dozen counties saw a decrease in their numbers of self-employed establishments, but 19 counties saw a greater than 10% increase. LeSueur County saw the most growth, at 25% in four years.
