    • Why have I stayed
      • There is a great opportunity on our campus to impact the experience of a large number of students who are making the transition to college (first generation college students in particular!).
      • Great opportunity to be an educator and demonstrate a “human” element to policies and procedures.
      • Working with graduate staff members who are considering a career in student affairs.

Why is a diverse campus important to you?

    • I believe it is important that each student on our campus has more than one professional (faculty or staff) that they feel they can connect to….and to do so, our campus needs to be diverse in ideas, experience, beliefs, values, choices, etc.  I also believe that it is important that each faculty/staff member feel that they have other faculty/staff members that they can connect to. It is these connections that create a true University.
    • I believe it is important that we find ways to support many areas of diversity even when we personally feel more strongly about one issue or element than another.

Hobbies, interests, community involvement:

    • Spending time with my two young boys, running recreationally and “recreationally” running a marathon each year
