Minnesota State University, Mankato encourages all students and University community members to be fully aware of the safety issues on the campus and to take action to prevent and to report illegal and inappropriate activities. Personal awareness and applying personal safety practices are the foundation of a safe community.

Pursuant to the Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act, Minnesota State Mankato monitors criminal activity and publishes this report, maintains a three year statistical history on campus, at off-campus property or facilities owned or used by Minnesota State Mankato or recognized University organizations and public property surrounding the University. The University will distribute a copy of this report to each current student and employee. This brochure is provided to new and prospective students and employees throughout the year by First Year Experience, Admissions and Human Resources. This brochure is also available on the Minnesota State Mankato Web page at mnsu.edu/safety. Minnesota State Mankato will provide a copy of the report to anyone upon written request.

Minnesota State Mankato currently has a variety of policies and procedures relating to campus security, and it expressly reserves the right to modify them or adopt additional policies or procedures at any time without notice. Such changes may appear in successive issues of this report.
