Disclaimer:  The Centennial Student Union Technical Services updated procedures, policies, and fees in the spring of 2014; which became effective July 1, 2014.  Reservations made from April 18, 2014 incur the updated Technical Services fees for events held on or after July 1, 2014. Reservations made prior to April 18, 2014 follow previous Technical Services procedures, policies, and fees.

Production Labor Fees


Recognized Student Organizations, University Departments, and the General Public who request advanced audio, visual, lighting or WATCHOUT* production and/or software programming, will incur a production fee. This fee will apply after production and/or software programming has occurred.

* WATCHOUT is multi-display software that lets you orchestrate photos, animations, graphics, video, sound and live feeds across multiple display areas.  (Only available in the CSU Ballroom)

Media Package


The Media package includes up to two technicians for lighting and event support, use of projection system with WATCHOUT software, up to four hours of WATCHOUT programming, use of house audio with up to four wireless and or corded microphones, and basic lighting design. 

For weddings and large public events please consult with the Technical Coordinator about technical needs at least four weeks prior to the event. Content for any WATCHOUT programming must be provided at least two weeks in advance.

A flat fee of $250 will be charged for the Media Package including all that it encompasses.

*Technical Services does not provide laptops, or Mac adapters.
*Clients may provide their own 9V batteries and use wireless microphones without rental fee.

Large Sound System:  Full sound system capable of providing concert style sound coverage for crowds of 600 and more.  Best when used for concerts, performances and large crowds.

Medium Sound System:  Full sound system capable of providing concert style sound coverage for crowds of 300.  Best when used for smaller concerts, performances and medium sized crowds.

Small Sound System:  Sound system capable of providing sound for crowds of 100.  Best when used for acoustic bands, small performances, speeches.  This system portable and can easily be moved to varying locations.

Portable Sound System:  Sound system designed for portability and light use.  It is capable of providing sound for crowds of 50.  Best when used for small public addresses and announcements.

Non-Cancellation Fee


Recognized Student Organizations or University Departments who do not cancel their reservation requests at least three business days prior to an event’s start time, or who do not use the reserved space within 30 minutes of the designated start time, will incur a non-cancellation fee of $25.00 plus incurred setup and/or technology fees.

The general public who do not cancel their reservation request within the contractual agreed upon period, or who do not use the reserved space within 30 minutes of the designated start time, will incur a non-cancellation fee equal to the full amount of their deposit.

Reservation Modification Fee


Recognized Student Organizations, University Departments, and the General Public who request a change to a reservation request, within three business days of the event’s start time, will incur a reservation modification fee of $20.00 plus incurred setup and/or technology fees. Technical support is not guaranteed for late requests.
