Student Health Services can bill to BlueCross/BlueShield, Medica, Health Partners, TriWest, MnCare, UCare, and Student Insurance (Domestic and International).
Insurance-ready receipts are available upon request if you have an insurance plan that is not listed above. Students are responsible for submission of their own insurance claims.
The Pharmacy can bill to most insurance companies if you have your current pharmacy card with you.
IMPORTANT - Please bring your current insurance card with you to every appointment.
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System offers an Illness and Injury policy through UnitedHealthCare Student Resources. This is for students who are taking 6 or more Undergraduate credits or 3 or more Graduate credits. You may view the brochure at www.uhcsr.com A brochure is also available at Student Health Services and at the Campus Hub located in the Centennial Student Union by the food court. Health Insurance for International Students is required by Minnesota state law. For more information about health insurance for International students, contact Kathy Grant, Student Insurance Advocate, at 389-6276 ex 244 or the International Student Office.
NURSELINE: Students that have purchased the Student Insurance have access to nurse advice and health information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by dialing 1-800-883-2951. The NurseLine is staffed by Registered Nurses who can help students determine if they need to seek medical care, understand their medications or medical procedures, or learn ways to stay healthy.
