APPROVED MOTIONS FROM THE AFA - NIET COMMITTEE

NOVEMBER 20, 2002

1. The NIET Committee voted to approve the awarding of NIET Distinguished Service Awards to the two individuals nominated by the NIET Distinguished Service Awards Committee.

2. The NIET Committee voted to post all approved motions from minutes of the national committee on the NIET website.

3. The NIET Committee voted to approve the creation of the NIET Scholar Series.

4. A series of motions to approve changes/corrections/additions in the NIET Bylaws were approved. These changes will appear in the NIET Bylaws that will be posted on the website.

5. The NIET Committee approved the following motion, “Swing tournaments consisting of more than two sets of event placements do not qualify as at-large qualifying tournaments for the AFA-NIET.

6. The NIET Committee approved a motion to form a committee to examine AFA-NIET event descriptions.
