Individual study is designed for students with a specific interest in a communication topic that is not covered in a regularly scheduled course or special topics course, or for students who wish additional study in a communication topic. Students should have a well-developed plan for their individual study, and then contact the faculty member they wish to work with. The student and the faculty member will together create an individual study plan (the form is available in the Speech Communication office, AH 230). Speech majors and minors may apply up to 3 credits of SPEE 499 (Individual Study) to their programs, with additional credits applied to general graduation requirements.
