He noted that outlays for student payroll reflected costs associated with apparel sales and deliveries, as well as for development and maintenance of the Club's World Wide Web page on the Internet.

Unbudgeted income of $3,169.50 had been received to date with as much as another $500 in uncollected receivables yet to be processed.

Annual Banquet Scheduled; Club Member Participation Urged

It was reported that the hockey team's annual banquet would be heldon Sunday, April 6, 1997, in the Mankato Downtown Holiday Inn. A "social" will be held at 3 p.m. with the

dinner beginning at 4 p.m. The Club has $700 budgeted to help underwrite the costs of the dinner. A keynote speaker is being sought for the event. The Board agreed that the banquet meal should be a "sit down" affair instead of a buffet style dinner.

Dan Meyer Memorial; MSU Foundation Endowment Possibility

Steve Duea formally reported on the passing of Dan Meyer, a Blue Line Club member. Brad Reeves indicated that he had met with the family and they were working with Starr Kirklin to create an endowment dedicated to hockey. The endowment could be named the "MSU Hockey Blue Line Club Memorial," and the interest earned off of the endowment funds would be used to fund talent grants (scholarships) for hockey players.

All Club members would be invited to contribute to this tax deductible benefit. The goal of the endowment would be $10,000, generated over a period of years.

Next Year's Hockey Schedule

Don Brose reported on next year's schedule where 32 of the 34 games will be against Division I opponents.
