The Scoop
Minnesota State split at home last weekend against Bemidji State, the WCHA’s seventh best team, which means MSU cannot take eighth place North Dakota lightly, especially on the road. Maggie Fisher was the key cog in the Mavericks 5-2 win over BSU last Saturday. The freshman tallied a goal and an assist, but it was her speed that kept the Beavers off balance. Amanda Stohr and Felicia Nelson also had solid efforts in the Maverick win. UND, coming off a sweep at home by St. Cloud State, has only one win in conference this season. The Fighting Sioux have two sets of sisters on their roster, including leading scorers Cami and Cara Wooster.
