It used to be said that the Matt Margenthaler era of Minnesota State men's basketball could be summed up by using the prase "steady improvement." No more. Perhaps now the only correct description of the Maverick program under Margenthaler would be to utter, "dramatic improvement," or "perennial contender" maybe even "nationally elite program."
Pam Gohl
Head Women's Basketball Coach
Pam Gohl, who joined the Minnesota State women's basketball staff two seasons ago as an assistant coach under former Head Coach Lori Fish, has been named, as of Friday, April 3rd 2009, Head Coach here at Minnesota State Mankato. Now Pam gets to meet her old boss this season whenever the MSU Mavericks take on the St. Cloud State Huskies, the team that Fish now heads.
