Minnesota State at Bemidji State

MANKATO

The Mavericks lead the all time series 26-13-2, though Bemidji State has won the last two, including a 42-35 victory in the opener at Blakeslee Stadium last season, scoring the winning touchdown with 22 seconds remaining. Minnesota State is 12-8 in games played at Bemidji.

Minnesota State is coming off a 63-7 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State, setting a record for points in a game with the second-largest margin of victory in program history.

Receiver Kyle Krivoruchka needs only 56 yards receiving to reach 1,000 yards for his career. He ranks 18th in program history with 70 career receptions. Kicker Jason Tompkins set a school record last week, making 9 of 9 PATs. He also had seven touchbacks on kickoffs. Linebacker Jimmie Gunn leads the defense with 18 tackles, though Soloni Taumalolo has a team-best four tackles for loss.

Linebacker Dan Ficcadenti is probable after missing last week's game with a broken finger, but offensive lineman Ben Roberson remains questionable with a foot injury. Receiver Bryan Dalton will miss the game because of an ankle injury.

Bemidji State opened the season last Saturday with a 4217 victory over Minot State, with quarterback Nathan Sannes passing for 290 yards and a school-record six touchdowns. Tyler Olson, who rushed for 201 yards and scored five touchdowns against Minnesota State last season, gained 81 yards last week. Jonathan Hawks made six catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.
