The deadline for tutoring requests is quickly approaching; if you are still in need of a tutor, please call the office to set up an appointment with your advisor today!
Have you been waiting for a tutor to contact you, waiting for information regarding financial aid, or information regarding an appeal? Much of the critical information MSU sends out goes to your MSU email account. You may be missing important information if you are not checking your email.
Take 10 minutes a day to check your MSU email account so you don't miss out on important information and opportunities at MSU!
Do you have a big paper coming up that you may need help with?
Or maybe you have not been receiving the grades you would like to in that writing intensive class.
An on-call writing tutor may be just what you need.
A writing tutor can help you improve your writing by working with you to find common mistakes. Whether your problem is grammatical or structural, a writing tutor can help you become a better writer!
When you request an on-call writing tutor, you are assigned a writing tutor that you will meet with once to cover the tutoring contract and get to know one another. You then will call the writing tutor when you have a paper that you need assistance with. It is advisable to plan accordingly and give the tutor plenty of notice as they are students as well!
On-call writing requests will be accepted until Friday, November 13th!
Online Writing Tutoring
SSS continues to offer online Writing Tutoring in Conjunction with the Institutional Di-versity English Institute. You can submit your papers to D2L anytime, anywhere. Your paper will be reviewed by a trained tutor and you will then be given feedback as to how to improve your paper all via D2L!
You are already enrolled in this awesome program! Simply log in to your D2L account and check it out! Please allow a 48 hour turnaround time!

There's money out there just waiting for you to claim it! At this workshop you'll get the opportunity to jump on the computer and find that money! Through lots of searching, we've found some very helpful websites for finding scholarships, and we'd like to share them with you! Maybe even more importantly, at this workshop you will learn what to look for when searching for scholarships. When choosing which scholarships to apply for, you can increase your chances by choosing those in which you have the greatest odds. The first hour we will learn the secrets of which scholarships to apply to and which ones aren't worth the time. The second hour we will sit at a computer and actually do some searching. So come on over for this workshop (even if it can only be for one of the two hours) and start your search for some free money!
