University Security is the primary unit for supporting the personal safety of Minnesota State Mankato students, employees, and campus visitors.
The purpose of the Early Alert Referral is to give faculty, staff, students and/or parents the opportunity to refer a student who has an academic concern such as excessive absences, a failing letter grade, or concerning behavior. The referral will go to the Office of New Student and Family Programs who will assess the situation, offer support and provide referrals to the appropriate resources on campus.
The information found on this website is dedicated to victims and survivors, friends and family, and anyone looking for information on issues surrounding intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, or sexual harassment.
MSSA’s safety campaign helps students recognize hazards on campus and in the community. Through a series of awareness events, students will gain a greater understanding of how they can keep themselves safe.
In holding students accountable for their actions, the office promotes and enforces the responsibilities students agree to when they enroll at Minnesota State Mankato. Our goals in working with students include helping them find a renewed sense of integrity and civility and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for everyone’s education and growth.
The Basic Stuff is the official student handbook of Minnesota State Mankato. It includes helpful information about a variety of services and opportunities available to guide new students in becoming better acquainted with the University community. It is our intention to provide resources relevant to the academic, cocurricular, and social lives of students.
