We will be open normal business hours M-F from 8:00am-4:30pm during winter break, except the following days during which the office will be closed:

Study Abroad Re-Entry Workshop: Marketing your Study Abroad Experience

  • WHO: Have you studied abroad?  Are you unsure of how to market your study abroad experience on your cover letters, resume, LinkedIn profile, and in interviews?  If so, this workshop is for you!
  • WHEN: We are tentatively planning late-January or early-February - Stay Tuned!
  • WHERE: TBD
  • WHY: Your study abroad experience will help you to stand out in your job search; however, you have to know how to talk about your experience beyond "It was great."  This workshop will help you to identify and discuss your study abroad experience as it relates to your LinkedIn profile, resume, cover letters, and job interviews.

Spring Study Abroad Fair

  • WHO: Are you interested in getting away from Minnesota for a semester?  A summer?  An academic year?  Or even short-term?  Would you like to immerse yourself in another culture?  If so, this event is for you!

  • WHEN: Tuesday, February 10th, 2015 from 10:00am-2:00pm

  • WHERE: MavAve, Centennial Student Union

  • WHY: come to learn about the many study abroad and study away options Minnesota State University, Mankato provides for its students.  From exchange programs to faculty-led programs to third party providers, there are a lot of options!  Don't want to go very far?  That's okay, you can take part in the National Student Exchange and attend another university in the United States, a U.S. territory, or Canada!

Study Abroad Pre-Departure Orientation

  • WHO: Are you studying abroad in Summer 2015, Fall 2015, or Academic Year 2015-2016?  If so, this orientation is MANDATORY for you!  (exception: faculty-led program participants)
  • WHEN: Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 4:00-6:00pm
  • WHERE: CSU 253/4/5
  • WHY: You will learn important information you will want to know before heading abroad.  You will also be given the opportunity to talk to students who are either from or have been to the country you are going to and ask them questions. You will even be fed!

2014 PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

The votes are in and counted and we have our final results!  Thank you to everone who voted - we received over 650 votes.  And big thanks to everyone who entered the contest; we had some competitive categories this year thanks to you all. 

Without futher ado, here are the results for first place for both Study Abroad and International Student sections:

  • "Mavs Abroad" goes to Vong Yang and Waslley Felipe Secondino
  • The Grand Prize winner with the highest total votes of the contest was Minh-Van Luong's selfie photo
