With a diverse background of experiences from around the world, Caryn has been Director of International Programs since 2005. She has worked internationally for the U.S. Information Agency and for the State Department in Washington, D.C. and New York City. One of her most valued experiences was volunteering for a year with a women's center in Prishtina, Kosovo. Caryn has lived in Germany, Chile, and Italy and has been fortunate to visit Australia, China, Ghana, Scotland, New Zealand and many European countries. She speaks German, Spanish and Albanian.
Mandy is the new Education Abroad Advisor and students' primary contact in the International Programs Office. She joins us after working most recently at the Univ. of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Mandy has an MA in Intercultural Relations and is proficient in Swedish, German and Japanese. She studied abroad in both Germany and Scotland, interned at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, lived in Orebro, Sweden for a year, and spent four years with the JET program in rural Japan.
Michelle is a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision and is working as a graduate assistant. Michelle has an MA in International Political Economy and Development and has taught as an adjunct professor at MSU and Gustavus Adolphus College. She speaks Spanish and interned at the Central Bank of Chile. Michelle has travelled extensively around the world.
Cheryl returns to the International Center in our newly created Education Abroad Coordinator position. Cheryl will support all office activities and focus on maintaining and improving our StudioAbroad application. She also works with Caryn on the incoming exchange students. Cheryl and her family spent a semester in Yerevan, Armenia and traveling throughout Europe. Cheryl is part-time, working T – F from 9:30 – 2:30.
