You must be accepted to the College of Business. All students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing, with a minimum GPA of 2.7. MSU students must enroll in at least 12 credits while in Austria.

MSU Exchange Students are required to take a language/culture course. No previous foreign language experience in Austrian/German is required, but we do recommend that students become familiar with a few useful greetings and phrases as common courtesy.
Krems is located on the banks of the Danube River, just an hour's drive to Vienna. A university town of 22,000 people, during term Krems has 9,000 students. IMC Fachhochscule Krems started in 1994 with 50 students and quickly grew into University of Applied Sciences with 1,000 students from all over the world. IMC Krems currently has 50 partner universities in 13 countries, and they pride themselves in small group work, project-related work, international lecturers and practical training seminars. Students attending IMC Krems usually live in residence halls near campus in Piaristengasse. Private accommodation in off campus apartments is also available. More information on accommodation at ICM Krems can be found on their website.
Study in Austria requires both a student visa and possibly a residency permit. You will need your letter of acceptance from IMC Krems to acquire both the visa and the permit.

Transcripts of records will be issued with in 6 weeks after the end of the Krems term. Transcripts for the fall semester will be sent out by mid February and the spring term transcripst will be issued douring the second half of july. Students will have access to the university intranet and will be able to read their grades before the transcripst are issued.
In the case of negative grades, stduents who stay at Krems druing the following semseter can go in for a resit; students who return home can do the resit at their institution wit supervision.
Students should not leave prior to exam dates--except for specific cases such as students from the Americas which have been predetermined. Lecturers and professors cannot offer extra exam dates for exchange students.
Scholarship -- The Austrian OAD offers a limited number of scholarships for students from non-European countries: the name of the scholarship is : Ernst Mach for Austrain Universities of Applied Sciences. www.grants.at Deadlines for the application are September 1st for spring semester and March 1st for fall semseter.
