Program Description The school and community health programs prepare health professionals with expertise in health promotion and disease prevention for employment in public health and community health agencies, health care facilities, business and industry, and schools.
Admission Requirements Students planning to major or minor in an area of study in the Health Science Department have an advisor from their area of interest assigned to them. Contact the department for application procedures and advisor assignment. The minimum requirements to be admitted to the Community Health Major or School Health Major are:
  • A minimum of 32 earned semester credit hours
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 (C)
  • Completion of Health 260 Intro to Health Education
Other Requirements All major courses must be taken for grade.
