| Program Description | The music industry program is designed to meet the needs of music students who are interested in a career in one of the many areas of the music industry, including merchandising, sales, manufacturing, publication, recording, and arts management. | Other Requirements | Entering music majors and minors are expected to have substantial musical experience performing with church or school ensembles, or as a soloist. Before admission to the major or minor, music literacy (the ability to read musical notation) must be demonstrated. Though Minnesota State Mankato does offer a course in basic music-reading skills, it is strongly advised that you begin those studies prior to arriving. |
