When the show begins, Maria Rainer is a postulate at Nonnberg Abbey,
but when the governess position for Capt. Georg Von Trapp comes available,
Mother Abbess (Christina Dyrland Smith, center) feels its a perfect match.

And it does work out well as Maria (Callie Syverson, left) begins by introducing music
to the family. The Von Trapp children are (left to right): Gretl (Kennedy Jorgensen),
Marta (Arianna Borgmeier), Brigitta (Riley Means), Kurt (Ben Davis), Louisa (Lauren Senden),
Friedrich (William Senden) and Liesl (Kaitlin Dahlquist).

At first, the Captain (Dustin Guy Jackson, left) is seeing
Elsa Schraeder (Morgan Mallory), but when Max Detweiler
(Ben Stasny) gets the family to enter a music contest that changes.

Standing in the way of success, however, are the Nazis, including Herr Zeller
(Rusty Ruth, left) and Admiral von Schreiber (Andy Rotchadl).

Eventually, Maria goes from governess to bride ...

... and the Von Trapp Family Singers are born.
