Carrol Meyers-Dobler New PAH CEO
At its April 19th meetng, the PAH Board of Directors appointed Carrol Meyers-Dobler to be the organization's Chief Executive Officer. The Search Committee recommended Carrol Meyers-Dobler from among 16 applicants who applied. The Search Committee was headed by PAH Vice President Rhys Gaffer and Personnel Committee Chair Wade Davis.
"Carrol is a perfect fit and she brings with her a wealth of experience with non-profits," said David Cowan, PAH Board President.
She served as the Executive Director of the Ruth Meiers Hospitality House, the Executive Director of the Charles Hall Youth Services agency, and, most recently, the Executive Director of the Foundation for the Medcenter One Health Systems. (Carrol is a recent arrival from Bismarck, North Dakota.)
"I'm already impressed with ideas that she is pitching and her energy and passion will translate in better service for the homeless and more donor dollars for operating expenses." said Cowan.
PAH is known for its extensive work with the homeless in the Greater Mankato Area and provides emergency shelter services at the Welcome Inn and Theresa House. PAH also has transitional housing options and helps shelter qualified individuals with low incomes. PAH's Julie Caraway-Jensen Speaks Up for the Homeless
 
At a "Homeless in Minnesota" public forum held March 1, 2012, on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato, PAH's Julie Caraway-Jensen told a crowd of 200 that homelessness was a very real problem in the Greater Manakto Area. Julie was one of five panelists who collectively addressed on-going concerns about the plight of the homeless. This event was sponsored by the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Advisory Board as part of its Dr. Truman Wood Memorial Alumni Lecture Series.
