Welcome to the Undergraduate Research Center

We encourage all undergraduates to participate in research, scholarship or creative activities. Participation in undergraduate research will transform your educational experience, allowing you to build strong faculty collaborations, engage with other students, build confidence, and alter your view of yourself and the world. Our services include:

 
• Financial support for student research
• Travel funds for meetings/conferences/exhibits
• Advice for finding a mentor on campus
• Information about summer internships and an on-line peer reviewed journal.
• Through a competitive process, students may be selected to present their research at the
  National Council of Undergraduate Research meeting and/or the Council of Undergraduate
  Research Poster's on the Hill.

The Undergraduate Research Center supports the Undergraduate Research Symposium each spring. Students who have participated in research, and who have a faculty sponsor, may participate in the Symposium. Students present their research in various formats including oral presentations, poster sessions, performances, scholarly and creative work, and art displays.
