Founded by Frank Backlund in the late 1940s, Backlund's Music (originally Backlund's Record and Appliances) was a fixture on Front Street until its closing in 1975. The store moved several times thoughout its history but always remained in the 400 block of South Front. Here, local muscians Billy Steiner and Jim McGuire discuss the store and the mentor they found there, Dave Boyce.
