making waves: A Feminist Collective is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) on the Minnesota State University, Mankato (MSU) campus that aims to provide a creative, feminist outlet to the MSU campus and the Mankato community in the form of an alternative publication, a zine. The zine fosters equality, diversity, and inclusiveness on campus and provides a voice for the voiceless. All anti-oppressive creative work is considered for publication, and making waves is published once per semester.
Students, staff, and faculty from the MSU campus and community members from Mankato are invited and encouraged to take part in this project by contributing creative work to the zine and/or joining the group itself.

Meetings usually last for about an hour, and this is great way to get more involved with anti-oppressive forms of creative work! These meetings are organized as a lateral collective, which means that each member has the opportunity to lead and learn from other members.

Creative work accepted includes but is not limited to: photographs, paintings, sculptures, poetry, prose, short stories, excerpts from academic writing, and mixed media, with a 2-page maximum for written work.
