Forming a Student Organization for graduate level

A few of the graduate students from Sociology, Counseling & Student Personnel, Women's studies and a few other miscelaneous areas of study are trying to form a student organization that is for the graduate level student. The purpose of this group has not been fully defined. We have discussed that we would like this group to come together and use each other as a resource. We could talk about our thesis topics and other research projects. Help with defining the topic and brainstorm together for collecting literature. We would like this organization to become an RSO which means that we would need a faculty member to facilitate, be a resource to the group, and advise of course. We feel that as graduate students our level of intensity to our studies is different then that of most undergraduate students. We would like to invite graduate students to come to our first organizational meeting to help us with this process and to also invite you to let us know if you are interested in the position of faculty advisor.

Our first meeting will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday April 9 at Maggies.
