It's about weather! This is an introductory course on meteorology – the science of weather. The course focuses on the variety of processes behind the making of weather. It is presented in a visually dynamic manner and students will comprehend both the theoretical and practical issues associated with weather. While visually stimulating, there is a considerable amount of understanding and work associated with this course. Students should bear in mind that this is a 4-credit course, made up of a theoretical section (217) and an applied laboratory section (218). Advantage is taken of a state-of-the-science weather laboratory where students have an opportunity of experiencing a vast variety of technologies and teaching aids.
