This will be the 2nd Annual, Red Jacket Roll. Join us May 4, 2002 at 10 am at the Mankato West High School parking lot. This is a non-competitive, family oriented activity, which encourages community involvement. The Red Jacket Trail is a six mile long course with a gently sloping grade that carries you across the Red Jacket Trestle Bridge.

Leisure Education for Exceptional People (LEEP)

All profits raised will be donated to the LEEP. LEEP's mission is to provide recreational and leisure opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. This is a non-profit organization that has served the greater Mankato area since 1978.

The Fun

All participants are encouraged to stay for the festive events at the end of the trail. Entertainment will be provided by 96.7 The Spot and also a skate trailer will be on hand. A skills course will be set up to try your skating abilities. Free food and refreshments provided by Subway and Pepsi will also be pr vided. Stick around and win one of many prizes like:

Registration Details

Early registration is recommended! The first 100 registrants will receive a 2002 Red Jacket Roll T-Shirt, FREE!!! Registration on the day of the event will begin at 9:30 am at the Mankato West High School rear parking lot. Buses will be provided to transport participants to the start of the trail in Rapidan at the Calvary Lutheran Church parking lot.

Extra Information

Helmets are required for skaters under 18 years of age. Please bring your own skates and clothing to suit the weather and be prepared for any changes in conditions. Medical assistance will be on hand for any minor accidents or mishaps. Any participants under the age of 18 must have a registration form signed by a parent or guardian. Any participants under 18 years of age may not participate in the event without parent/guardian consent.

Acknowledging these risks I hereby apply to enter the Red Jacket Roll, agreeing! am solely responsible for my safety. I hereby agree to waive and release any and all claims for injuries or damages, which may occur, during or as a result of my participation in this event, against the Red Jacket Roll, Minnesota State University, Mankato, its organizers, sponsors, the city of Mankato, Blue Earth county, the event staff, volunteers, medical staff and directors. I agree that lam solely responsible to be physically fit and sufficiently prepared to participate in this activity and to use equipment of a type and condition reasonably necessary to safely participate in this activity. If I require medical attention as a result of my participation in the Red Jacket Roll, I do hereby give my consent for authorized medical personnel of the Red Jacket Roll to provide such medical care.
