Groove Your Body 2006

Do

Cardiovascular Points:

  • Earn 1 point for each minute of aerobic/cardiovascular exercise.
  • NOTE: 60 minutes per day maximum.
  • The following page gives examples of different types of cardiovascular activities.

Strength Training Points:

  • 1 time per week 50 points
  • 2 times per week 175 points
  • 3 times per week 250 points
  • NOTE: strength training workouts must include 6 different types of exercises. Do not keep track of the amount of minutes you do for strength training. 250 points is the maximum for strength training per week.

Fruit and Vegetable Points:

  • Earn 20 points for each fruit and vegetable serving eaten per day, maximum points for 9 servings a day with 50 bonus points when 9 servings reached in one day.
  • Fruit Serving Size: 3/4 cup fruit juice, 1/2 cup chopped, cooked or canned fruit, 1/4 cup dried fruit, 1 apple/orange/banana, handful of grapes.
  • Vegetable serving Size: 1/2 cup chopped raw or cooked vegetables, 1 cup raw, leafy vegetables, 3/4 cup vegetable juice.

Water Points

  • Earn 50 points when you drink eight - 8oz glasses of water in one day.
  • You may earn these bonus points only once a day.
