A Vibrant Campus Community

Feel at home on a campus you will easily get to know and call your own

From the moment you arrive, you'll be immersed in a dynamic, energetic environment that's friendly, welcoming and just the right size. You'll have access to all the benefits and resources of a large university, but with a small-campus feel.

On our 350-acre campus overlooking the beautiful Minnesota River Valley, you'll meet people from all over the country and the globe, learn new ways of thinking, gain a deeper understanding of our multicultural society, and find out why college is more than classes and credits.

Whatever your interest – sports, academic, ethnic, cultural, political, social or religious – with more than 200 student organizations to choose from, you're sure to find others who share your interests and a variety of activities.

On any given day, you'll find things to do and easy ways to fit in. Cheer on the Maverick sports teams, including Division I men's and women's hockey, or choose a more relaxed game of intramural sports. Attend lectures with world-class speakers, researchers and writers. Find out why Minnesota State Mankato theatre, music and dance performances rank in the top one percent of attendance nationwide. Or grab a coffee and plant yourself by the fireplace in the student union and feel the energy of your new world.

"Campus is amazing. It is buzzing all the time," says MaryKay Bergeron, an Accounting and HR Management major from Burnsville, Minn. "There are tons of things to do on campus. Maverick sporting events are free to students. There are movies shown every week, and we have keynote speakers at least once or twice a month."

For many of our students, the sense of campus community is one of the reasons they chose to attend Minnesota State Mankato. "I feel at home here," says MaryKay.
