Supportive Learning Environment

Services designed just for students offer support and encouragement

Although college is a time to set out on your own, it doesn't mean you have to do it alone. From the start, you'll be immersed in a supportive learning environment. One that will help you adjust to college, get comfortable with your new surroundings and prepare you for a lifetime of learning.

Wondering about class sizes and teaching styles? Want to know more about the community where you'll be living? Need to find out how flexible the academic programs are? Just let us know and we'll take care of the rest. You'll be able to get all your questions answered about college through open and casual conversation.

You'll be able to learn the ropes and make friends easily through the First Year Experience and Learning Communities programs, both designed to smooth your transition to the University community. These fun and supportive programs will help you feel at home faster, learn about life outside of class and have a better connection with those who are committed to your success.

If you've declared a major, you'll have a connection to staff members who'll help advise you on how to best reach your goals. And if you're still deciding what to major in, that's OK too — we have staff that will help you choose classes and explore your options.

At Minnesota State Mankato, you'll receive encouragement every step of the way. From first-year seminar to graduation and beyond, we'll provide the resources and support you need to pursue your dreams. You'll be able to grow, to achieve the goals you've set for yourself and gain the skills you need to do more than you thought possible.
