MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State University, Mankato Department of Music & Entertainment Industries will feature performer Sarah Morris and the Sometimes Guys in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23 (rescheduled from Feb. 7) in Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave.

Sarah Morris spent the first years of her career in Nashville, losing herself in the art of writing timeless Americana melodies. Morris has been described as a bright, clear, brilliant songwriter, offering a Norah Jones-like approach to her music.

Morris was a top four finalist in the NewSong Music Contest at Lincoln Center in New York City, 2nd-place winner of the Chris Austin Songwriting Competition at MerleFest in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and an Americana semifinalist in the International Songwriting Competition.

General admission for the concert is $10. Minnesota State Mankato students will be admitted free with a valid MavCARD.
