Community Engagement Office to Host Remember November 2013
Join the Community Engagement Leadership Team, student volunteers, and campus and community partners as we Remember November! This event is inspired to celebrate the way campus and community collaborate to promote student driven hunger relief!
Turkey Palooza 11/1-11/30: A Campus Kitchen Seasonal Fundraiser. Individuals and departments are invited to donate to offset the cost of our Campus Kitchen meal service. Donation boxes are at each cash register in the Centennial Student Union or can be brought to or mailed into our office in CSU 185!
National Hunger and Homelessness Week Partner Exhibit 11/18- 11/22: The Face of Hunger and Homelessness All week in the CSU Flex Space. This exhibit will showcase our community partners and demonstrate how our community works together to relieve hunger. Activities, surprises and free popcorn all week!
Helping Hands Across America Food Drive and Chili Cook Off 11/20 : Join us on MavAve between 11-2 p.m. to participate in this annual event sponsored by Sodexo to benefit MSU Mankato's own Campus Kitchen!
The Full Set Up 11/20 CSU Flex Space: Join us from 12-1:30 for a mid-week musical break!
A Place at the Table 11/20 CSU Ostrander Auditorium: Join us from 7-9 p.m. to view an award winning documentary that reminds us how each of us is affected by hunger and how we can work together to make a difference!
Food Not Bombs Smashing Hunger Tour with Founder Keith McHenry 11/21 Wiecking Auditorium: Join us from 7-9 p.m. to learn how each of us can activate change and make a difference in the lives of others as we strive to end hunger in our communities!
Bagging Hunger 11/21 1 p.m.: Join us in Campus Kitchen as we assemble grocery bag giveaways for Campus Kitchen meal recipients. Sign up on MavSync. Slots are limited!
Make and Take Holiday Cards: Start your Holiday in style by making cards for that special someone or for one of Campus Kitchen meal recipients. Offered in the lower level CSU throughout our partner exhibit!
