Steven was raised in Greater Mankato and attended Mankato Loyola High School. After playing four years on the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks baseball team, he had one more year of college to complete his degree and did an internship with Northwestern Mutual during that time. Since then, he's been working as a Wealth Management Advisor for individuals, families, businesses and 501(c)(3) organizations. He has earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, as well as the Retirement Income Certified Professional designation and Wealth Management Certified Professional designation. He and his wife, Jennie live in North Mankato, with their four children; Noel, Rose, Jon and Marcus. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling with Jennie, and spending time on the lake and hunting. He was involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes in high school and during his time at Minnesota State University he served on the FCA board for the last few years.
