Dale Thomas Wolpers is a 1975 graduate of Minnesota State Mankato with a bachelor of science in teaching degree in Speech Communications and a minor in Theatre. He taught Communications at Hastings Middle School for 20 years and in 1991, was selected as Hastings Teach of the Year. During that time, he also coached baseball, football, speech team, and directed three plays a year. In 1983, Dale earned is master's degree from Mankato in Cirriculum and Instruction. He also earned a degree in Administration in 1995 from St. Mary's University. Dale left Hastings to become assistant principal at Cottage Grove Junior High where he developed the award winning "Cougar Pride" recognition program. He served as an administrator in the South Washington County School District for 14 years until his retirement in 2009. During that time, he was on the board of the South Washington County Schools Education Foundation and was honored as the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year. As an undergraduate, Dale was very involved in theatre, the annual charity carnival and with Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Dale is married to Kathleen and they have a daughter, Cayla Marie. Now retired, Dale is a part time tour guide and education consultant for the Minnesota Twins, an education consultant for Houghton Mifflin Publishing, and an education consultant for Hamline University. He aslo does television productions and is an avid golfer in his free time.
