Undergraduate scholarships for students within the Department of Art at Minnesota State University, Mankato

Below are the descriptions for each available scholarship. You may apply for more than one scholarship in this application. Please read the descriptions carefully and be certain you are qualified before applying. To best support your application, your Justification and Supporting Evidence should clearly reflect the required qualifications.


Qualifications

Student must (1) demonstrate a record of scholarship and leadership, (2) must have attended MSU for at least one year, (3) be a declared art major pursuing a concentration in (education, history, or studio track), and (4) be at the rank of junior or senior (preferred) at the start of the following fall semester.


Qualifications

Student must (1) show evidence of creative achievement, (2) be a declared art major pursuing a concentration in one of the studio electives (Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Printmaking, Photography, or Sculpture), (3) have the rank of junior or senior at the start of the following fall semester, (4) a minimum GPA of 3.25 in his or her major, and (5) a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.


Qualifications

Student must (1) be a declared art major from any concentration and (2) be at the rank of junior at the start of the following fall semester..


Qualifications

Student must (1) demonstrate exceptional potential, (2) be a declared art major pursuing a concentration in one of the studio electives (Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Printmaking, Photography, or Sculpture), (3) have the rank of junior at the start of the following fall semester, and (4) a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00.


Qualifications

Student must have (1) a concentration in art education or painting, (2) excel academically or creatively, (3) have attended Mankato State University for at least one year, and (4) maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.


Qualifications

Student must (1) be a declared art major from any concentration and 2) be at the rank of junior at the start of the following fall semester.


Qualifications

Student must (1) demonstrate an enthusiasm for the area of concentration, (2) be a declared art major pursuing a concentration in painting or drawing, (3) be in good academic standing, and (4) have the rank of sophomore or higher at the start of the following fall semester.
