November 3, 2016 Spring Semester 2017 Registration Begins (ends January 13, 2017)
November 3, 2016 Online enrollment begins for all Spring 2017 installment payment plan options through Nelnet/FACTS (non-refundable $24 fee charged upon enrollment)
November 30, 2016 Last day for online enrollment in "zero-down, five monthly installments beginning December 5" payment plan option through Nelnet/FACTS (non-refundable $24 fee charged upon enrollment)
December 13, 2016 Early Registration Guarantee Date - students registered through December 6, 2016, must meet minimum payment requirements for tuition and fees by this date to stay enrolled. Students who meet minimum payment requirements for spring semester will be protected from Registration Cancellation for Nonpayment and will not have courses administratively dropped.
December 14, 2016 Early Registration Cancellation For Nonpayment will be processed. Student accounts that do not meet payment requirements will have all courses administratively dropped.
December 23, 2016 Last day for online enrollment in "15% or $300 down, four monthly installments beginning January 5" payment plan option through Nelnet/FACTS (non-refundable $24 fee charged upon enrollment)
December 27, 2016 Spring Semester in-store textbook/supply purchases from Barnes & Noble Bookstore @ MSU may be charged by eligible students, through January 12, 2017 (confirm eligibility at https://secure.mnsu.edu/FinancialAid).
January 5, 2017 Spring Semester online textbook orders from Barnes & Noble Bookstore @ MSU may be picked up/charged by eligible students, through January 12, 2017 (confirm eligibility at https://secure.mnsu.edu/FinancialAid).
January 9, 2017 Classes begin (evening classes begin at 6:00 p.m.)
January 12, 2017 Last date for eligible students to charge Spring semester textbook/supply purchases at Barnes & Noble Bookstore @ MSU
January 13, 2017 Students with work-study assignments must report to employing department by fifth class day of semester
January 13, 2017 Deadline for Original Registration (adding or changing full term classes)
January 13, 2017 Deadline for Dropping Full Term Classes (with refund and without affecting completion rate; classes dropped after this date will appear with a "W" on transcript)
January 13, 2017 Last day for official withdrawal with 100% refund/credit of tuition/fee charges
January 13, 2017 Tuition Obligation Date - last day to change spring semester registrations before being held liable for tuition and fees charged
January 13, 2017 Final Registration Guarantee Date - all registered students must meet minimum payment requirements for tuition and fees by this date to stay enrolled. Students who meet minimum payment requirements for spring semester will be protected from Registration Cancellation for Nonpayment and will not have courses administratively dropped.
January 14, 2017 Processing of spring semester financial aid funds begins. 
January 14, 2017 Available grant, scholarship and loan funds posted to student accounts and applied to charges. Excess financial aid funds after account balances paid in full are designated for scheduled disbursement (payment) to student on January 20, 2017.
January 16, 2017 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (No Classes)
January 17, 2017 Final Registration Cancellation For Nonpayment will be processed. Student accounts that do not meet minimum payment requirements will have all courses administratively dropped.
January 20, 2017 First scheduled spring semester direct deposit disbursement (payment) to student bank accounts of excess financial aid funds identified from January 14, 2017, processing of spring semester financial aid.
January 23, 2017 Last day for official withdrawal with 75% refund/credit of tuition/fee charges
January 23, 2017 Deadline for Changing Grading Method of Full Term Classes
January 30, 2017 Last day for official withdrawal with 50% refund/credit of tuition/fee charges
January 26, 2017 Last day for online enrollment in "15% or $300 down, three monthly installments beginning February 5" payment plan option through Nelnet/FACTS (non-refundable $24 fee charged upon enrollment)
February 1, 2017 Deadline to submit appeals to reinstate financial aid suspended for failure to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Standards
February 6, 2017 Last day for official withdrawal with 25% refund/credit of tuition/fee charges. No refund/credit of tuition/fee charges for official withdrawal after this date.
February 7, 2017 Deadline to submit FAFSA for Spring semester eligibility of MN State Grants
February 13, 2017 Spring Semester Due Date - required to be paid in full or enrolled in spring semester Nelnet/FACTS payment plan. Unpaid balances not covered by Nelnet/FACTS payment plan on March 6, 2017, will be subject to Unpaid Balance hold and $50 late fee.
February 13, 2017 Last day for online enrollment in "30% down, two monthly installments beginning March 5" payment plan option through Nelnet/FACTS (non-refundable $24 fee charged upon enrollment)
February 13, 2017 Last day for online full payment through Nelnet/FACTS (no fee)
March 4, 2017 Saturday Classes Held
March 6, 2017 No Classes Held March 6 through March 10
March 6, 2017 Spring Semester Past Due Date - Accounts with unpaid Spring Semester balances not covered by Nelnet/FACTS payment plan subject to Unpaid Balance hold and $50 late payment fee. 
April 12, 2017 Last day for official withdrawal from all spring semester courses
April 28, 2017 Last day to submit applications for loans for the 2016-2017 Academic Year (Fall/Spring or Spring only)
April 29, 2017 Final Examinations for Saturday Classes
May 1, 2017 Final Examination Week May 1 - May 5
May 5, 2017 Official Closing of Spring Semester
May 6, 2017 Graduation (held on Saturday)
