Fitness Assessment

Rates

  • Fitness Assessment:
    • Student $20
    • Faculty/Staff $30
  • Custom Exercise Plan:
    • Student $20
    • Faculty/Staff $30

Fees include 2 fitness assessments - one before the start of your fitness program and one after you have completed a fitness program (approximately 12 weeks after the first assessment).

Benefits of a Fitness Assessment:

  • Providing you with baseline information needed to start a fitness program.
  • Utilizing the information later to chart your progress during your fitness program.
  • Increasing the likelihood of continuation of a fitness program.

Components of a Fitness Assessment:

  • Body composition - administered by bioelectrical impedance
  • Cardio respiratory fitness - administered with treadmill walking, running, or bicycle tests
  • Muscular strength assessment - administered with a push-up, crunch, and/or bench press test
  • Flexibility assessment - administered with a sit and reach test

How do I set up a Fitness Assessment Appointment?

    • The fitness assessment must be paid for before scheduling an appointment.
  • Pay online and you will contacted by staff to set up an appointment via email.

Required Forms for a Fitness Assessment:

  • Medical History Questionnaire
    • Bring completed Medical History Questionnaire to Fitness Assessment appointment.  If you feel you may have a health condition that may need a medical providers consent before you complete any fitness testing or physical activity please contact us before your Fitness Assessment appointment to discuss this.
  • Informed Consent (completed at assessment appointment)
  • Fitness Assessment Invoice or Pay Online 

 

Equipment Orientation:

An optional, one time 30-60 minute basic orientation with a trainer is available to show individuals how to operate cardio equipment and weight machines.  Cost: Free

You do not need to complete a fitness assessment to set up an appointment for equipment orientation.  This is a free service we offer all Otto Rec Center members.

To set up an appointment for equipment orientation:
