 Research/Creative Interests

I am interested in spiritual communication, in particular, how spirituality affects our health/well-being and the way in which we engage with others. I am also interested in pedagogical issues such as motivation and context (i.e. the most effective strategies for teaching in online versus live classrooms). And almost anything in the area of Interpersonal Communication interests me as well.

At the university level, courses I have taught or am teaching currently include: Methods of Teaching and Coaching, Basic Course, Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, Organizational Communication, Public Speaking, Interviewing, and Business Communication. I am also directing the Basic Course. Prior to life as a college professor, I was a high school English and Speech teacher.
