Hi Alan. Can I congratulate you on another eloquent piece of writing? And may I add my voice to John Paskievich's that "The Collected Works ..." are now long overdue? I've been thinking on the subject of your paper for a few days now and still find it very difficult to think of any secondary gains in my stammering: the negatives seem to swamp any possible positives. I was such a severe stammerer for so long (e.g. four and a half minutes to say something that now take me fifteen seconds to say [with deliberate dysfluency!] - I've got the DVD to prove it!). But if I was pushed I could say that few non-stammerers would have a clue as to the joy I now feel at being able to say what I want when I want to say it. Thanks again Alan for a great article and your continuing inspiration to stammerering community. All the best, Steve
