Alan, Thanks for writing about your stuttering in such a way that you clearly show that, while it isn't a gift to you, it has turned you toward several paths that you would otherwise been unlikely to pursue. I personally have appreciated the change you describe, having been the recipient of several long distance phone calls from you. Those calls never fail to brighten my day and give me such pleasure.
