Hi Judy, It was very good to read about your experiences. I really applaud all SLPs (SLTs) who really try to help stutterers whatever their path into stuttering. May I ask a question? You refer to Downs students who exhibited "shame of stuttering". Did you have any contact with any non stuttering Downs students and ask them if they had any "learned shame" of having Downs syndrome? It would be interesting to find out which disability bore the brunt of the learned "shame". Have a good conference. Keith
