Hello, Thank you for your comments. One point I need to add is that SECONDARY BEHAVIORS can not be dismissed. Secondary behaviors emerge from fear of stuttering and trying to reduced that fear with avoidance behaviors. For a period of time, a secondary behavior works for the PWS but gradually, it quits working. That is why we call them "garbage behaviors" . What gets the "garbage behaviors" to go away, is facing the fear of stuttering and reducing avoidance behaviors. Judith
