Hi Judith, I found your article to be very interesting and informative about students with Downs Syndrome and who stutter. One question that I had is when the students are in a self-contain class half of the day and the other half in a regular classroom, how does that impact their social communication with other students? Do they have a difficult time interacting with other students and particpating during the classroom activities because of their avoidance behaviors? Or does it help them interact with other peers to improve their communication and fluency skills. Another important fact you mentioned was that parents need to be involved in the students intervention because I think parents have a very big impact on their child's success in school.
