I felt that this article was very interesting and provided some very good points when looking at Down's children who stutter. One of the most essential points that you brought up was about the 'shame of stuttering' and the avoidance behavoirs that come with it. Children should never have to feel ashamed for stuttering, and words of encouragement are what they need to get past those feelings. I think it is important that you provided additional information on how Down's children as young as 7, who are starting to develop their language skills receive therapy. They can then look for, ward to a brighter future without any doubts or negative feelings bringing them down.
