Great to read Down's cws getting special attention. I have had elementary school all the way to adult pws on my caseload. I had a 24 year-old who worked at a retail store. The 24 y.o. had developed avoidance habits and shame toward his stuttering. The sensory integration component is important here: Down's cws can develop severe stuttering faster and more severly than 'normals' in many cases. Have you also found that the teaching has to be very sensory based/kinesthetic? I have found pseudo stuttering invaluable in this population. (mirror)
