Thank you for this article. I am currently working with individuals with Down Syndrome in a residential setting, and am also a SLP student. I am taking a course on Fluency this semester, but we have not touched on special populations yet, and, to be honest, this is not something that I had thought about concerning the people I may be working with in the future. I have a woman in mind who has some articulation and phonological errors, but seems unaware of these issues. Do you think that PWS with Down's Syndrome are any more or less aware of their stuttering than PWS without Down's? I am curious if therapy with CWS with Down's Syndrome takes longer than a CWS without Down's? Thank You!
