Hello, My work with Downs Children who stutter primarily involves reducing SHAME of stuttering and trying to slow rate of speech. Parents and teachers can help with this. I do NOT believe in exercises for stuttering and would not use drill practice with this population. Downs Children develop language later because of cognition issues. They begin to combine 2-3 words around ages 8-9 years and then stuttering emerges. Thank you. Judith
