I found this article to be very interesting. Great article! I'm a Communication Disorders major and took a class about stuttering last semester. In class, we learned that SLPs should not try bringing attention to a young child's stutter in order to avoid early self-esteem issues. As they get older, they start to notice the difference in their speech and their peers may start to notice as well. (I hope that I'm remember all the information correctly.) Because children with Down Syndrome experience some delayed development (right?), about what age do they start to notice a difference in their speech?
