In my experience covert hehaviour occurs quite early so the application of personality test would be reduntant. I can remember pretending I didn't know my home address from about age 5. Another pws I know pretended he didn't know his own name (thought he could get away with it until he turned 14!) I believe it was SLP Libby Oyler who did some work on pws sensitivity. Apparently pws are generally a highly sensitive group. The difficulty is in working with very young children to determine whether their sensitivity is the cause or effect of stuttering.
