This is a very interesting article; thank you both for sharing your research. It raised (and addressed) so many interesting and important issues, including how we, as speech pathologists, can better service our clients who speak languages other than English. I am especially interested in the results of your study into whether monolingual English speakers can identify stuttering in a language other than English. I live in Australia, where we also have a large and very diverse multicultural population. Many of the languages spoken by members of our community are not related to English (ie do not come from the same or a related language family). I wonder what the abilties of monolingual English speakers to judge stuttering in languages NOT related to English? If anyone knows of any related research, I would be really interested to hear about it. Thanks and regards, Victoria
